About Sarah

Sarah Royer-Stoll (they/she) is an award-winning and nationally featured queer and genderqueer, disabled, neurodivergent writer who weaves diverse themes into their work, including complex grief, trauma and resilience, experiences of intersectionality and marginalization, spiritual orientation and practice, queer love, and the perpetual quest for radical healing. A nominee for the 2025 Pushcart Prize for their poetry, they have been published in various anthologies and journals including The Nemadji Review, Tales of Travel, Tales of Migration, Freshwater Feral, Peregrine, Duluth-Superior Pride, Queer Voices, and more. They have been featured by Poetry Safari, Highland Park Poetry, and within Sherburne History Center's Poetry Showcase. A MN native, they have also established roots in Tucson, AZ and Portland, OR. Sarah currently lives in the Duluth area with their beloved wife and cats.

Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA)

 Sarah is a certified workshop leader in the Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) method, created by the renowned late poet, Pat Schneider. Sarah successfully completed their leadership training in Chicago in 2018.
